How to take the test:
Once you purchase the test, you will receive an email from Translit Pro with the subject line “Your access to the test”, with a link to the test that will expire within 7 days. Before starting the test, make sure you have enough time to complete it (around 45 minutes). If you abandon the test, you will be able to access it again if the link has not yet expired, but you will have to start it from the beginning.
- Find a quiet room, check that you have a stable internet connection, make sure your camera and microphone is on.
- As you will be required to type your answers in the “writing” section make sure you are set up for this. If you are not very skilled at typing on a small cell phone screen, choose a bigger device with a proper keyboard.
- We will ask you to agree to provide an ID document should we wish to verify your identity. At this stage, just tick the “agree” option
- The test will start
Here are some very important tips for you:
- Aim to answer each question fully. If you are asked to describe your day routine and are only given 1 minute to do so, make sure you cover your day from the morning to the night, rather than describing for a minute how you usually brush your teeth. The assessment is AI-led, and if you don’t cover all aspects of what’s asked of you, the assessment algorithm will “think” that you did not understand the question, and your performance will be marked down.
- Use preparation time to plan your answers
- Use all of the allocated answer time. If you stop early, the AI-led assessment algorithm will “think” that you don’t have enough language fluency to continue developing the topic.
