LAB and Court Interpreting

This training is designed to provide you with an understanding of the Irish legal system and its key components and to equip you with the foundational knowledge needed to prepare you for interpreting in legal and courtroom setting, if you have chosen to work with LAB and other clients working in such settings.

You’ll learn about the roles of various participants in the courtroom, the structure of criminal and civil case hearings, and the specific terminology used in legal and crime-related contexts. Please make sure you give sufficient time to studying the terminology as it is crucially important for your successful interpreting performance.
